This winter, the game moves indoors.

The Rice Lake Futsal Winter League is a competitive 5v5 league designed for teams looking for consistent, organized competition throughout the winter.

This is not a weekend tournament. It is a full 18-game season. Ten teams. Eighteen matchdays. Ninety total matches. One table.

From opening night in November through the final whistle in March, every game and every point matters.

League format

10 teams compete in a double round-robin format. Each team plays 18 games against 9 different opponents, facing every other team twice.

5v5 futsal · League-only format · No playoffs

Win: 3 points  /  Draw: 1 point  /  Loss: 0 points

There is no championship game. The team with the most points after the final matchday will be crowned league champion. Standings will be updated throughout the season.

Match format

25-minute first half · 5-minute halftime · 25-minute second half

Each match includes 50 minutes of playing time. Approximately 10 minutes will separate matches, with five matches scheduled each league night.

Season

November 14, 2026 – March 13, 2027

A consistent competitive environment throughout the Northern Wisconsin winter. The complete 18-match schedule and weekly kickoff times will be released to registered teams before the season begins.

Media coverage

Every matchday will receive Rice Lake CF media coverage. Players and teams will have opportunities to be featured through photography, video, highlights, results, standings and social media content throughout the season.

Team registration

$1,500 per team

The fee covers the full 18-game season: approximately $83.33 per team, per game.

For a 10-player roster, that is approximately $150 per player for the entire season, or $8.33 per player, per game.

Teams are responsible for organizing their own rosters and uniforms. Registration is limited to 10 teams. A team's place is secured only once registration requirements and payment are complete.

What's included

The full 18-game league season, scheduled and organized matches, referees, league administration, standings and results tracking, and Rice Lake CF media coverage throughout the competition.

Why league-only?

No bracket. No resetting the standings. The table tells the story.

Consistency matters. A bad night costs points. A big win can change the standings. After 18 games, the team that has performed the best across the entire winter finishes on top.
